My introduction to coon hunting came at the age of 11. My uncle took me hunting. It was almost two years later when I convinced my mom to buy me a Redbone, Hunting Hollow Push Red changed my view of hunting. Before "Red," I was an active deer hunter. It was always the sport but also the kill and providing meat for our family. I began to appreciate my "partner" the dog and the chase.
When I lost Red after two years I was completely hooked. Since then I have owned English, Walker, Black & Tan, and a Bluetick coon hounds. I have learned a lot about the sport and specific breeds through hunting with various dogs.
My kennel has evolved with my growth in the sport. I currently own 10 English and hunt for championships week end and week out. Buy a pup from Crooked Creek Kennels and you will be competing for a championship also.
I put a lot of faith in my dogs and they have never let me down. I hope that in some way, I can extend that type of faith to others in the English breed also.
